Configuring the Default Windows Printer

In order for Forms to function properly, a Default Printer must be configured in Windows. The Forms application uses the printer’s system metrics to draw the form on the screen. If a default printer is not configured in Windows, Forms will not start. Using a Fax driver or PDF driver is not recommended as the default Windows printer.

To verify that a default printer is configured:

1.   Click the "Start" button

2.   Select Settings | Printers

3.   Make sure that there is a checkmark next to one of the listed printers. If not, right-click the desired printer and select "Set as Default Printer".
