Importing Data

Specific data can be imported from existing files into your current report. From the File menu, select Import | Import Data. On the Open Report dialog, select the desired form type and Report File Number, then click OK. The Extract dialog is displayed (see figure below). Click on any of the sections listed, checking any of the desired Comp boxes as well. (TIP: you can click the Select All button to select all sections and comps!) Then click the OK button. The selected data is imported into the current appraisal. Please note that any existing data in the current appraisal will be overwritten.

Typically, the Evaluate Expressions box should be left checked, so that any calculations affected by the new data are properly executed.

The Extract All Data button is similar to clicking the Select All button followed by the OK button. The difference is that clicking the Extract All Data button will also import data for any addenda that are also part of the current file. For example, if the current file has a Cover Letter, and the original also has a Cover Letter, then all the data on the Cover Letter in the original file will be imported into the current appraisal.
