To enter data:
1. The first field in the form will be highlighted and contain a blinking cursor.
2. Type in your text or if there are choices shown on the Hot Key Bar at the top of the screen, press the function key or click on the Hot Key Bar on the screen. (For more information about Hot Keys, see the Common Responses section.
3. If there are common responses available for a field, they are usually displayed in the hot key bar. However, since there is only room for a limited number of responses on the hot key bar, you may also want to check the drop down list that appears when you move the cursor to a field.
4. Press [Tab] to move to the cursor to the next field.

All About Windows Cursors
The cursor is the thing that moves around on your screen when you move the mouse around on your desk. The cursor may look like an arrow, an I-beam, a question mark with an arrow, a caret (flashing square box), or something else, depending on what you are doing.
What some of the different cursors mean:
I-beam cursor - When the cursor looks like a I-beam, you can position it in a field to enter text. To change the cursor to an I-beam, move it over an entry field.
Caret (flashing square box) - When the cursor looks like a flashing square box, you can enter text using the keyboard. To change the cursor to a caret, click in a field.
Arrow cursor - When the cursor looks like an arrow, you can resize windows, choose menu items, choose other windows, etc. To change the cursor to an arrow, move it outside the current appraisal window.
Display a Particular Section of the Form
You can display whichever section (Subject, Neighborhood, PUD, Site) of the form you are working on. You can also display any two sections of the same form by Splitting the Current Window.

• Scroll down the form using the scroll bar on the right hand side of the window until you get to the section of the form you want to display.
• To display the section you want to see, click on one of the Section Tabs which run across the bottom of the form window.
