PalmForms Quick-Start Guide

Working with Pocket Appraiser is easy. This step-by-step tutorial will walk you through an appraisal.

When a new appraisal order is received, enter the information into your desktop software. At this point you will have some of the basic information needed to begin filling the form, such as the property address, city, some neighborhood info, etc.

In your desktop appraisal software, export the appraisal to the handheld.

Place your handheld into the cradle and perform a HotSync.

Additional Functions

Navigation of the forms is very straightforward. Use the up/down buttons on the device to move to the previous/next page. To see a list of pages, tap the Menu button, then tap the page you want to go to.

Use the toolbar at the top of the screen to access other functions.

1.   Home - Return to the Appraisal List screen

2.   HUD/VC - fill out the HUD/VC sheet. The VC sheet is similar to the paper version - generally a "yes" is a "bad thing".

3.   Notes - Miscellaneous notes to the appraiser. These notes will not appear in the appraisal report.

4.   Photos - Snap and label pictures. If you have a Kodak PalmPix camera, you can use your handheld to take photos, and then use Pocket Appraiser to label those photos. Photos are labeled with the address and view, and are saved to the PC with the file number and view code to make it easy to identify your photos.
