Property Report Index

The Property Report Index allows you to find appraisal(s) that meet criteria you specify. For example, you could find all the appraisals that were done for a certain borrower or all the appraisals that you did in June for the ABC Mortgage Company or the appraisal whose address is 3 Tall Timbers Drive. The Property Report Index also allows you to list all your appraisals. You can search for a report if you know any of the information requested in Figure 4-5 or just click the "Find All" button to list all your reports (although this may take awhile if you have thousands of files).

TIP: You might find it a time-saver to find an appraisal like the one you are working on and then use it as a template to save time on future appraisals.

To find a particular appraisal(s):

1. Select File | Property Report Index. The Property Report Index appears as shown in Figure 4-4.

2. Fill in as much information about the Appraisal(s) as you can.

TIP: You can search the User Reference fields (which can be used for whatever type of information you like, for example, style of home, subdivision name, etc.)

3. Click the Find button. The program finds all appraisals that match the information you entered (see Figure 4-6). You can open and view any match by double-clicking on it, or by selecting one and clicking the "Load Report" button. You can also do a Save-As by selecting the desired file and clicking the "Save Report As…" button.

NOTE: The Find and Find Again commands on the Edit menu do not find appraisals; they find text within an appraisal.
