Putting an Appraisal on Diskette

While not necessarily the most efficient (or recommended) way of moving files to other computers, Nova Forms does provide a way to copy files to a diskette, or diskettes, depending upon the size of the file.

To put an appraisal on diskette:

1.   Have a number of blank, formatted diskettes handy. Insert one in your A: drive.

2.   Select File | Export which will display a modified Open Report dialog, as shown in figure 4-15. This can also be done by clicking the Import/Export button on the QuickStart Bar or via the Export button on the toolbar.

3.   Choose the desired Form Type and Report File Number

4.   Select "PAK" from the Format list and "file" form the Target list

5.   Click OK

6.   When the Save As dialog appears, navigate to the A: drive on your system

7.   The File name field on the Save As dialog should be populated with the same filename as the file you are exporting

8.   Click Save

9.   Insert diskettes as prompted
