Tables in the Text Addendum
Arranging text in columns using tables is much easier than setting up columns with tabs.
A table is a grid consisting of vertical rows and horizontal columns. Each square in the grid is called a cell. You can fill each cell with text and graphics—the text wraps within the cell so you can edit it without disturbing the layout of the columns.
To make it easy to see the cell boundaries, the Addendum Writer can display your table gridlines. If they are not displayed and you would like to see them, choose View | Gridlines to make them appear.
To insert a table into the Text Addendum:
1. Select Table | Insert | Table from the menu, or right-click and select Insert | Table
2. On the Insert Table dialog (see figure below), select the desired number of rows and columns. Rows and columns can also be added and deleted after a table has been created. TIP: It is recommended that the correct number of columns be set at the time the table is created.
3. Click OK and the table is drawn

The Insert Table dialog
To insert additional rows or columns into an existing table, select the appropriate option from the Table | Insert sub-menu, while the cursor is in the table to be added to.
To delete a table, select Table | Delete | Table from the menu, while the cursor is in the table to be deleted.
To delete rows or columns in a table, place the cursor in the row or column to be deleted, then select the appropriate option from the Table | Delete sub-menu.
By default, tables are created without borders. To change the properties of the table frame, select the desired table (Table | Select | Table), then select Table | Properties. The Table Frame dialog, shown in the figure below, is displayed.

The Table Frame Dialog
To add borders, first select the desired line width. Then, in the "Frame" section of the dialog, click each of the desired areas (Top, Bottom, Left, Right, and Center) to apply that line width to those borders.
To change the background color of the table, choose from the options within the "Background" frame. To shift text further away from, or closer to the edges of the cells, modify the options in the "Text Distances" frame.
Please note that these options apply to the selected area of the table. The same properties can be changed for a single cell, row, or column, simply by selecting the desired area, rather than the entire table prior to selecting Table | Properties.
