menu |
Whenever you see a field with a down arrow at the end of the field, this indicates that you can choose text from a menu or just type in information. Click on the down arrow to open the menu and choose the text you want. If you don’t see any text you want, choose text from the Common Responses list (right mouse button), use the Function Keys on the Hot Key bar, or type in your text. |
|
Function Keys |
Each field has its own Function Key definitions. You can see them on the HotKey Bar. The function keys allow you to save time entering text by simply choosing the text you want to enter. |
|
telephone numbers |
When you enter a telephone, modem, or fax number, fill in the numbers with dashes. For example, type "610-975-9000". In many cases the dashes are entered for you. If you need to dial 9 before you can enter a phone number, enter "9," at the beginning of the field. IMPORTANT: Note the comma after the nine. |
|
dates |
When you are asked to enter a date, fill in the date in MM/DD/YY format. For example, to fill in June 7, 1997, type "06/07/97". Y2K NOTE: When 2 digit years are entered, the century is assumed to be the current century. For example: on January 2, 1999 if you type 1/2/99, it will mean 1/2/1999. However, on January 2, 2000 if you type 1/2/99, it will mean 1/2/2099. |
